st luke#s advice service

St Luke’s Advice Service receives some funding through Brighton and Hove City Council (until 2010) but we are heavily reliant upon donations both large and small to keep the service going. Every pound you donate helps the service to keep going and to support those who are in crisis.

Ways to give: -

1.Donations: - these are even more helpful to us if you pay tax as a gift aid tax relief which means that we can get an extra 25p for every pound that you donate to us. Please email us and our Treasurer will get back to you.

2.Standing Order giving: - this is an excellent way to give to our work on a regular basis. You can set up a standing order and give to us for however long you want (email us) and don’t forget, if you are a UK taxpayer, you can gift aid this giving as well (Download form).

3.Gifts in kind: We are grateful for gifts of stamps, pens and pencils and general stationery items. We offer clients refreshments so tea, coffee and biscuits are always welcome.

What your money can buy:-

£5 will pay for us to purchase 1000 sheets of business paper

£10 will pay for our postage for 1 week

£25 will pay for six volunteers’ travelling expenses each week

£50 will pay for one volunteer to go on an initial debt-training course

£100 will pay for 500 client information leaflets

£500 will pay for our solicitor’s salary for 1 week
