Volunteer Opportunities at St Luke's Advice Service
We are always keen to hear from anyone who may be interested in the key roles below, however ifyou have another skill you feel could benefit our small charity then do get in touch.
If you have ½ a day a week and can commit to a minimum of 12 months you could join us as a Benefits Adviser. Full training is given, and no experience is required. All we ask for is an empathetic nature and clear legible handwriting. You would be welcome to come and visit our office to find out more.
If you have experience in financial services and/ or money advice and you can commit to ½ a day a week for a minimum of 12 months, we would love to hear from you. Joining our debt team, you would receive full money adviser accredited training and work directly with clients, helping find solutions that work best for them. If you would like to meet one of our money advice team to find out more then please get in touch.
Want to volunteer but can’t make a regular weekly commitment? We are currently looking for volunteers to support our client’s at benefit appeal tribunals. You need no experience to do this, the role is simply to provide moral support during the tribunal, help to make sure they understand what is being asked of them
Not all of our roles are client facing and if you have a few hours to spare each week we would love to have you onboard to help our office run smoothly.
If you have experience in fundraising, particularly in identifying and applying for funds and grants then we would love to hear from you.
A few words from our volunteers
Our service plays a valuable role in the local community of Brighton & Hove and with only a small team of staff, we rely on the commitment of our team of dedicated volunteers.
Volunteering provides excellent experience that can lead to future employment in the money advice sector, financial services and local government.
When we are recruiting for a paid position these will be posted here on our website as well as on our Facebook & Twitter pages.
