We are a small charity helping some of the most vulnerable people in Brighton and Hove by providing practical, compassionate support and advice to help overcome financial hardship by accessing the benefits they need and managing debt.
As a money advice service, St Luke’s Advice Service is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. Our service has held the Advice Quality Standard for over 10 years – the quality mark for organisations that provide advice to the public on social welfare issues.
Our service is one of 7 advice agency partners within Moneyworks and Advice Matters – two council funded partnerships led by Citizens Advice Brighton and Hove.

As a local MP, I’m immensely proud of the role that St Luke’s plays in supporting some of the most vulnerable people in my constituency and across the wider community in Brighton & Hove.
The roll out of universal credit, continued austerity, and the increased cost of living in Brighton and Hove has meant that more and more people in our city are looking for a lifeline like St Luke’s. I’m proud to champion this special community advice service and the amazing staff and volunteers who are helping more people than ever before.
St Luke's Advice Service offers an invaluable service to the most vulnerable and desperate people in the city. My constituency office could not function without the service and in this era of shrinking services it's a godsend to have a free and practical service located here in Brighton & Hove.
As the city braces for the next phase of Universal Credit, services like St. Lukes are more important than ever, delivering essential advice and support and fighting for fairness on behalf of those who need it most. The staff and volunteers are a credit to the city.
